  • Tony Haven, the comfort zone. Bellswebster, Bond is British so I doubt Michael would ever be cast, but he does have the look doesn't he?

I always get upset when people don't like a character and the equate the character to the actor. I think this is dangerous. The actor's job is to give us the fantasy and Michael Weatherly does that very well whether it's Tony DiNozzo or Logan Cale or whoever he plays. He's an excellent actor. The Tony character must be a very hard one to portray realistically as he does tread dangerous water sometimes with annoying mannerisms and, at least in the past, kind of reprehensible treatment of coworkers and just women in general. But also remains lovable and likable and someone you'd want to be around more often than not. Hard JOB! You can tell he does a good job just by what we're talking about here...the differing reactions people have to DiNozzo!!!

I say keep up the good work, Michael Weatherl! Life would certainly be less fun without Tony DiNozzo in it every Tuesday night.

  • Let's talk about Season 9! SPOILER!!!

Question: Do you have any scoop on NCIS and Tony's backstory? - Melyssa
Ausiello: Sure do. Remember how show boss Gary Glasberg told TVLine that in the back half of this season, they'd shed more light on ''the kid in Baltimore'' who was mentioned in the season premiere and has some sort of tie to Tony? And some of you speculate that ''the kid'' wasn't necessarily a youth, but was instead a nickname for a fellow cop? Well, when Michael Weatherly stopped by here the other day, he made it crystal that ''the kid'' is in fact a kid - or at least was, back at the time Tony was a cop.

  • Tony & Gibbs: ten years of partnership, friendship and... (sa) Everything began ten years ago when a gruffy NCIS Agent was knocked down by a cocky a BPD Homicide Detective...
Ten years of partneship-friendship-father&son need a celebration and this is the right place to do that.

Tony&Gibbs are the soul and the heart of NCIS and the reason why the most part of viewers started watching and still watch the show every week.

The chemistry between Michael Weatherly and Mark Harmon is palpable and it's displayed in all its uniqueness and naturalness on the show. Nothing is forced between their characters and when there's a lack of their scenes the show suffers.

This article gave us a lot of things to think about and especially about our two amazing guys...

"You can buy a toy Tony (Logan)...where...where.!!!!!?????"
I so want the action figures, but I never see them anywhere to purchase. I've seen them in photos, though. In fact here's a photo of Michael Weatherly and Jessica Alba holding their Logan and Max action figures:

  • "The Plot Bunny Farm" : Tony-centric ideal plot . I've already post this idea on NCIS Wiki Site , but I think that here we could be more free to express our ideas , since this is just Michael Weatherly Site :)

le_bibliothecaire and I have a new project for you . The title is "The Plot Bunny Farm" (le_bibiothecaire's idea!) and it's our chance to post our ideal plots for Tony-centric positive episode . We can share our ideas and whishes , build up a plot all together or post links for good FF (remember this is a P13 Site !)

Remember that , if you want to write down (or continue) a real FF based on other people's ideas , you've to ask their permission or it would be a sort of "theft of ideas" , and this is not nice , at all !!!

I know that this is risky , but I want to trust you and your common sense . I also know that , if we want to highlight a character , we've to hide and/or diminish some other characters . It happens in the Show too , but try to be nice with all of them , at least at the end of your story .

This is not "Highlight Tony and bash the others !" Project .

So , free your fantasy , but remember my words : do NOT be mean or rude to anybody (characters , cast and Site's members) , or your post will be deleted . Thanks :)

  • Tony in Season 8
" I agree heartily with everything you said! Tony is long overdue for a medal after Requiem, Truth or Consequences, and how about saving all the kids in Bait? Also agree that MW is a very under-rated actor. Mark Harmon once said that Michael has no idea how good he is, and I read a recent interview with his Charlie Valentine director(Jesse Johnson? Sorry, can't remember name), who said Michael should be the leading man in big Hollywood movies. I think he's a little insecure, and that keeps him humble. On one hand, that prevents him from being as big a star as he could be, but on the other, it also makes him even more charmimg and appealing."
Interesting what you mention about MW. This is what the director Melfi said about him regarding the TV film Winding Roads (will get the photos up some time this week - BTW): Michael Weatherly starred as "Mick Simons" opposite Rachel Hunter as his wife "Kelly Simons" in the made for tv movie 'Winding Road' in 1999.

A comment about Michael from the director at the official site:

"MICHAEL WEATHERLY saved the day," recalls director Ted Melfi. "We had the hardest time casting this part, which was amazing to me because Mick is the male part with the most meat. Three days before Mick was schedule to work, we still didn't have an actor. Rachel Hunter's agent suggested Michael and after a phone conversation with him, I knew he could play the part. He saved us, came totally prepared with the character and the script. I have great respect for that."

  • Gary Glasberg - New NCIS Showrunner (spoilers allowed)
    ...Interview w/Director Julian West...

"Q You’ve made a number of award-winning short films including “Small Jeans.” And you wrote and directed the feature “Trigger Happy” for the Independent Film Channel, featuring Michael Weatherly and Rosario Dawson. I imagine these projects give you more freedom and creativity. ...a future project with Michael Weatherly from the CBS TV show “N.C.I.S.,” which is set for 2010. Can you share a few details?

A It's called "Solar Drive" and Michael plays a private detective searching for a missing movie star. Like all good detective stories, it's a quest, a kind of "Alice Through The Looking Glass" journey through the strange, hidden world of behind-the-scenes Los Angeles.

I love L.A. To me it has a kind of duality: there is a real city – Los Angeles – which is interwoven and sometimes indistinguishable from a kind of dream version of itself, which is "Hollywood" – not merely the zip code, but the state of mind. I find the contrast and combination of the two very intriguing. L.A. is full of wonderful, crazy carny folk, but it's also full of real, hardworking people just like any other major city, and in our story Michael plays a character that straddles those two worlds, and is comfortable in both.

It's a drama, but as anyone who watches "N.C.I.S." already knows, Michael brings a lot of humor and warmth to his characters, so expect some mischief!"

Awsome! Just need to find these two projects now.

  • Unanswered Questions... We also know Tony moved up the ranks quickly with the police force, which being the son of supposedly wealthy parents with a degree in sports, probably would have made up unpopular quickly, plus the fact there was probably only so far he could move up within the force without being forced into the office/political side of it. And we all know Tony likes being out in the field and solving the crime puzzle

  • Agent Anthony DiNozzo's mission SPOILERS!!!
TVGuide - NCIS ''What was in the folder?''

An extract of the article: ''At season's end, the brand-new Secretary of the Navy handed DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) an assignment to ferret out someone suspected of selling secrets. Inside: ''A photograph,'' says executive producer Gary Glasberg. Of a fellow team member? ''That reveal will happen in the season opener. But I guarantee you that it will a difficult task for Tony.'' Get used to the new SecNav, played by Matt Craven. He'll ''insinuate into their world in a way the previous secretary didn't,'' says Glasberg, effectively taking on the adversarial/administrative role that Vance (Rocky Carroll) used to serve, which may bring Vance and the team closer. Having miraculously survived the finale, romancers EJ Barrett (Sarah Jane Morris) and CI-Ray (Enrique Murciano) are gone but they could return later in Season 9...''

So it seems I was wrong about Vance :)

But moslty EJ and/or Ray are not the mole, even though it's clear that the seller is someone that Tony knows very well...
